What Is SFTP?

There are two ways to upload files onto your VPS or dedicated server: SSH and SFTP. We recommend SFTP instead of SSH as its friendlier, easier and less prone to errors.

SFTP is a secure form of FTP (file transfer protocol) that runs over SSH on port 22.

Several SFTP clients exist, such as Filezilla aswell as Cyberduck, both of these are completely free and are compatible with both Windows and MAC computers.
